In case you weren't convinced yet that Obama is Bush on Steroids, the latest news flash is that he is now doing signing statements. Shocker!
A signing statement is when the president signs a bill into law, but he reserves some supposed right to "interpret" the law as he sees fit and execute the law according to his preference. This in the face of the clear language of the Constitution, which states that the president must "faithfully execute the laws." According to the Constitution, if he doesn't like a bill he can veto it; otherwise if he signs it, he is required to execute it faithfully. Not anymore in the new America of Bush and Obama.
